Reflexology
Our feet make the difference in our posture which affects every part of our body. This form of massage is able to aid in several aspects of relaxation, improved wellness and pain relief. Blockages in the meridians or energy channels inhibit the flow of life enhancing energy, also known as 'chi,' causing the accumulation of negative energy, resulting in pain or disease. Massaging the feet is a wonderful way to unblock these channels and bring balance and harmony to the entire body. Let your body unwind on the massage table while your therapist massages your feet at the pressure you desire.

Why treat the feet?
Our feet are the foundation of our body and if we don’t start with a good foundation everything above cracks and crumbles. If our feet aren’t well cared for, problems can arise. In athletes, problems most frequently arise from overuse. Below are some common issues in our feet which can be prevented and treated with massage.
Turf toe
A common condition caused by repeated hyperextension of the big toe. It is most common in people who wear lightweight shoes or who hyperextend their big toe frequently during repeated actions.
Bunions
Often associated with over-pronation and is characterized by angulation of the big toe towards the other toes. This causes tenderness, pain, and inflammation.
Stress fractures
Tend to occur in the second and third toes, and are characterized by swelling and pain on the top of the foot. Poor diet combined with overtraining is one of the most common causes of stress fractures.
Plantar fasciitis
Inflammation and micro-tearing of the fascia. Plantar fasciitis may be caused by repeated stresses like running and jumping. Tight calf muscles and weak supporting musculature in the foot can put you at higher risk.
Tendonitis
Tendons are the cord-like structures that anchor muscles to bone. When they are over-stretched or over-used, tendonitis can occur.
Arthritis
Osteoarthritis is the breakdown of cartilage within a joint. The joint damage manifests as decreased joint space, worn cartilage, and bone spurs surrounding the joint.
Nerve Problems
Occasionally, foot pain is caused by a pinched or irritated nerve. A pinched nerve, or nerve entrapment, that is often seen in the foot, is called tarsal tunnel syndrome and is characterized by shooting or burning pain that radiates from the inside (big toe side) of the ankle into the arch and sole.
